Join Us for National Prescription Drug Take Back Day!
On Saturday, April 25, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the Atoka Police Department will participate in the DEA National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. Officers will be on-site at the Atoka Police Department to help residents safely dispose of unwanted or expired medications.
This is a great opportunity to clean out your medicine cabinets while helping prevent medications from being misused or entering our environment.
Last year, more than 1.2 million pounds (596 tons) of prescription drugs were collected nationwide at over 8,800 locations.
